Our Beautiful Biosphere

Moncton is located at the heart of the Fundy Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO designation that recognizes the magnificent landscapes stretching from the upper Bay of Fundy coast to the Tantramar Marsh near Sackville.   It can be easy to forget during day-to-day city life that we live amongst some of Earth’s great ecosystems.  The paintings shown in Our Beautiful Biosphere re-acquaint Moncton residents with the treasures that can be found in our own backyard.  These landscape and naturalist oil paintings will highlight the wonders and curiosities of our region, reminding us that we have access to truly amazing places.
